We are looking for a great Squarespace Developer to work with an agency that develops websites for professionals in the therapy niche. For each project, you will be given tasks by the Project Manager on the project who will be coordinating all development tasks, writing tasks (assigned to our in-house writers), and taking care of client communication.
As a developer on our team, your main job will be to help us get website work done quickly and with high quality. This is a long-term role where you will be respected and valued and grow quickly.
Working hours for this position are flexible though we would like for you to have some overlap with our Project Managers who work in the Mountain and Eastern Time zones in the US. The shift of 4a to noon Philippines Time will provide overlap with our PMs in their afternoons.
ONBOARDING TRAINING
If you are chosen for the position, we’ll get your payment arrangements made via Deel, add you to our task management system, our Slack system, etc. Then we’ll take you through some training:
– You’ll watch a 3-hour training where we teach our website strategy and explain what we put on each page of our sites and in the headers and footers (and why)
– You’ll be shown 5 Squarespace templates that we use for new site development (these are already modified from normal Squarespace templates)
– You’ll also be given training on how to communicate with your PM, how to record your time for each task, etc.
SOME OF THE THINGS YOU’LL DO
Some of your work will be developing new Squarespace sites and some will be making modifications to existing sites that the client already came in with.
– For projects that you’re assigned to, the PM will ask you to perform specific tasks for each project each workday
– You’ll complete the tasks and communicate with the PM, asking for clarification on any tasks you don’t fully understand
– You’ll record your time for tasks completed so that we can get a sense of how much work to give you.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO…
– Is experienced as a Squarespace developer — at least 1 year of direct experience
– Is a quick learner — smart, thorough, and fast.
– Has good attention to DETAIL. (We don’t want to waste time correcting errors you should catch on your own.)
– Likes to solve problems.
– Loves being really good at their job.
– Is good at learning new technology and learning about SEO (you will be uploading SEO-optimized content and fields)
– Is very responsive – confirming receipt of assignments and asking for clarifications, quickly
– Is comfortable communicating via Email, Slack, or Video (Loom)
– Is super dependable and expects us to be the same in return
– Writes fluent English. This is an absolute must as you’ll be communicating with several PMs on our team
– Has fast, reliable internet and a reliable computer that can handle multiple applications open at once (Slack, Notion, Google Chrome, Zoom, etc)
– Is available to start immediately within 2 weeks of a job offer
