Our client is a US based firm that has successfully supported business owners for over 25 years, running the back end of daily operations.
They are looking to expand their team by adding a new bookkeeper.

The new team member must be highly detail-oriented with thorough hands-on accounting and bookkeeping experience. You must be highly adept at Quickbooks and have the ability to maintain multiple businesses and customer accounts. You will manage day-to-day internal operations from our office. You will be expected to deliver reliable information quickly and accurately, enabling the owner to make important business decisions.
Success in this role will require someone who is currently adept in computer-driven business management software, including accounting programs, project management software, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office. You must be comfortable working directly with the owner and key employees in a small office environment and be willing to manage other aspects of day-to-day business operations.
What you need to do:
Managing a portfolio of clients with various levels of complexity
Provide exceptional accounting and operational service to our clients
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of professional accounting and bookkeeping practices.
Collaborate with your manager and other Associates on your team to ensure all clients are satisfied with our services through timely and effective communication, delivery on deadlines, and stellar accounting support
Identify and recommend to your manager areas where Supporting Strategies may be able to provide additional services or tools to drive additional client value and efficiency
Manage and maintain all processes in the tech stack. To include but not limited to QBO/Hubdoc/Clickup/Keeper/Gusto.
Manage A/P. This includes collecting and entering all receipts from clients from daily credit card and credit account purchases, as well as tracking invoices from vendors and all aspects of business expenses
Stay current and maintain all A/R. This includes working directly with clients, salespeople, and vendors to ensure that all invoicing and receivables are current.
Download bank feeds and perform regular reconciliation of all transactions, including checks, online transactions, credit cards, vendor accounts, and credit lines.
Set up and maintain all documents related to client support programs.
Prepare and deliver thorough and accurate journal entries, reports, and supporting documents according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Work closely with the operations director and other client managers to track and maintain client files.
Research and resolve accounting errors and discrepancies, including monthly reconciliation.
Keep track of and maintain quarterly, and year-end tax payments.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures and prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports, including reconciliations of revenue and expense line items.
Complete account reconciliations and analysis of P&L, balance sheet accounts
Monitor and prepare supporting documents for tax payments, business licenses, and corporate fees
Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary
Maintain current project files.
Do real-time job costing
Ensure communication between the office and our clients.
Other operational support requirements
Meet accuracy goals, and handle multiple daily tasks.
Adapt to workflow process changes and additional responsibilities as needed to fully support the owner and operations team.
Complete virtual training with guidance from your manager in accordance with established supporting strategies and procedures.
Participate in recurring team and one-on-one check-in meetings to ensure you are aligned for success.
Embrace coaching and feedback provided by your manager and implement changes as needed to help meet team and client goals.
What You Need to Succeed
5 years of relevant work experience in bookkeeping principles
Be highly skilled and adept at Quickbooks Online.
Strong experience using Microsoft Office 356, Microsoft Excel, Adobe, and various Cloud Apps. Experience in G-Suite, T-Sheets, and ClickUp Software is a PLUS.
High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines
Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
Ability to thrive and be highly effective in a small office work environment
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal
Graduate of Accountancy or Higher
Must be able to work flexible hours with an overlapping schedule with US PST/EST
