This position is for a startup, online education platform, which is based in the UK. The position is remote.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced academic writer to join our team in developing engaging and informative online courses. The ideal candidate will have a background in health science and a passion for education, along with excellent writing skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and accessible content for online learners.

Responsibilities:
– Research and update course content, including lectures, assignments, quizzes, and other instructional materials, in collaboration with subject matter experts and instructional designers.
– Ensure that course content aligns with established learning objectives and follows best practices in online education.
– Write clear, concise, and engaging instructional text that effectively communicates key concepts to students.
– Incorporate multimedia elements, such as videos, interactive activities, and simulations, to enhance the online learning experience.
– Collaborate with instructional designers, multimedia specialists, and other team members to create high-quality online courses that meet the needs of diverse learners.
– Revise and update course content as needed based on feedback from students, instructors, and other stakeholders.
– Stay current with developments in education, online learning technologies, and instructional design trends.

Qualifications:
– A Bachelor’s degree in Health Science or a related field (or equivalent experience; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
– Proven experience in academic writing, curriculum development, or instructional design, preferably in the field of health science.
– Strong knowledge of health science concepts, theories, and research methods.
– Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
– Experience with online learning platforms and educational technologies preferred.
– Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
– Creative problem-solver with a passion for innovation in education.
