Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join Madison + Park Agency’s book publishing department. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering and maintaining strong relationships with authors, literary agents, and other key stakeholders. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful publication and promotion of books while maximizing revenue and client satisfaction.

Focus Responsibilities:

1. Client Relationship Management:
• Build and nurture relationships with authors, literary agents, and other partners.
• Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring a positive experience, and addressing any concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with authors to understand their goals, preferences, and expectations.

2. Project Coordination:
• Oversee the end-to-end publishing process, from manuscript submission to final book delivery.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including editorial, design, and marketing, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide regular updates to authors on the status of their book projects and address any potential issues.

3. Revenue Optimization:
• Identify opportunities to maximize revenue through upselling additional services or products.
• Work closely with the sales team to explore new business opportunities and expand the agency’s author base.
• Ensure the timely collection of payments and address any billing or financial concerns.

4. Marketing and Promotion:
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective promotional campaigns across various channels.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives for authors and adjust strategies accordingly.

5. Market Research:
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands.
• Provide insights to authors regarding market conditions and suggest adjustments to publishing strategies.

6. Customer Feedback and Improvement:
• Gather feedback from authors to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement strategies to enhance the overall authors experience and satisfaction.

Qualifications:
• Fluent in English
• Proven experience in account management or a similar role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Results-oriented with a focus on client satisfaction and revenue growth.
