The Role
This position is an account manager / general manager role working US hours (9am-5pm EST) with our UK client who is looking to expand their home décor business in the US. This candidate will lead relationships with multiple retail buyers and brokers at Amazon, Fanatics, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Academy Sports to grow our client’s US business while managing the day to day running of the business with our client in the UK.
Job Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships with key account customers. This includes identifying and pursuing prospects, securing appointments with brokers, presenting, closing sales, and detailed account follow-up
– Manage the day to day running of the accounts. This includes keeping up with daily sales, inventory needs for replenishment of US stock, managing ecommerce content and marketing.
– Work with the product team in the UK to propose design and spec changes as needed for the growing US business and reflecting the needs of our key accounts.
– Achieve annual sales budgets, company margin objectives and product performance reviews.
– Maintain product cost models, working with the UK finance team to revise as needed.
– Create and manage weekly reporting of key account sales and inventory tracking· Including a monthly report to share with the client.
– Work with production team to track sampling and production process in order to meet delivery deadlines
– Set up retail accounts in the US including managing all digital product assets and copy required for ecommerce sites.
– Work closely with the UK product team to strategize and execute new product development to promote sales growth and meet customer needs for the US.
– Partner with the UK team to manage operational needs such as quote preparation, sample shipments, order inventory and critical path management to our US distribution center.
– Work collaboratively to build key account partnerships to ensure we provide the best product at a great price that’s delivered on time and never out of stock.

Candidate Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree or above
– 5+ years in a sales role to major mass market retailers & ecommerce retailers
– Ability to work in a fast paced, results-based environment across multiple time zones.
– Flexibility to quickly adapt to change in priorities and act with a sense of urgency
– Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
– Experience leading and managing retail accounts, buyers and brokers
– Understanding of consumer goods, the mass market customer, and overall retail industry
– Strong planning, negotiation and follow-up skills
– Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and execute under accelerated timeframes
– Strong organizational skills, with excellent attention to details and dates
– Creative with the development of new approaches for improved revenue potential
– Mastery in English, written communication skills, self-directed with preparation of client ready document and presentation development
