We are a Hong Kong-based accounting/consulting firm currently expanding our operations in the Philippines. We are recruiting on an ongoing basis for new Accountants/Account managers. We are open to every location for the good candidate.

In order to develop our current Account Management function, we are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to join our team. Ideal candidate would be accounting literate with great interpersonal skills, interested in advisory and keen to take a new challenge in a small size, fast pace and rapidly growing advisory firm. A successful candidate would begin working in a hybrid role as a client accountant and account manager for a period of 6 months, to learn the in’s and out’s of Hong Kong accounting/taxation/advisory then would transition to a full Account Management role, liaising between our other accountants and clients. This role would be ideal for a candidate which has accounting/bookkeeping experience and wants to venture into more client facing roles.

Responsibilities Accountant (Xero/Quickbooks):

– Handle full set account
– General accounting, AR, AP, bank reconciliations and journal entries
– Monthly and year-end accounting reports
– Assist in annual audit and other ad hoc assignments
– Responsible for the daily accounting operation
– Assist in carrying out daily accounting and processing of operating expenses
– Coordinate and monitor accounts receivables & payables
– Coordinate with other departments on accounting matters
– Prepare difference report & schedules for management review
– Other ad hoc duties

Requirements:

– Good communication in English (French is an advantage)
– At least Bachelor degree
– Minimum 2 years experience in similar jobs duty
– Experience in accounting / CPA firm preferred
– PC literate in Word, Excel (knowledge in using Xero is a plus)
– Strong analytical skills and detail minded
– Mature, self-motivated, independent, stable and a good team player
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
– Immediate available is definitely an advantage
– Xero certification or advanced knowledge of Xero usage

Bonus skills which would help application:

– QuickBooks certification or or advanced knowledge of Xero usage
– Dext receipt processing software
– A2X integration for Xero

Responsibilities Account Management

– Genuinely build and maintain excellent relationship with your clients and partners. ATHENASIA has gain a reputation for outstanding boutique experience and you are in charge to demonstrate it to our clients.
– Get to know clients on a personal basis (motivation, ambition, lifestyle, personal tax residency…)
– Understand client business model and provide consulting to help them improve financials, operations based on our experience in their industry and our network of partner.
– Provide clients with advisory on company setup, compliance and accounting matters.
– Identify M&A needs and help clients to get access to funding through our network of investors.
– Follow up with clients and get payments
– Collect clients documents for accounting and pass on to bookkeepers
– Liaise with accounting, audit, tax, company secretary department
– Manage clients stress and expectations

Full training will be provided in Hong Kong tax/accounting and compliance.

Job Package:

15 days flexible annual leave, with additional fixed annual leave for Christmas and Chinese New Year, in total about 21 days.
13 month bonus

Salary PHP15,000 to 40,000 (depending on experience and qualification)
Work from home 5 days a week.
