Accountant

Hey there, we operate a leading blood testing website that helps people get and stay healthy.

We are currently looking for an accountant with experience in the diagnostics/medical industry for a full-time position.

IMPORTANT: Advanced QuickBooks Online experience and excellent written English communication skills are required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an accountant to maintain our financial records and perhaps also help out in other areas when you get bored and need a change of pace.

Accountant responsibilities include working closely with our team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.

Ultimately, the accountant’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process

– Verify all transactions are recorded correctly

– Bring the books to the trial balance stage

– Complete tax forms (with assistance from team)

– Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements

– Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner

REQUIREMENTS

– At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an accountant

– Experience with accounting in the diagnostics/medical industry

– IMPORTANT: Hands-on experience with QuickBooks online.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (at least C1 level – Advanced)

– Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once

– Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

– Advanced Google Spreadsheets skills including Vlookups and pivot tables

– Experience with general ledger functions

– Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

– Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

– Preferably BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree

– Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
