Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with a strong background in utilizing Netsuite accounting software. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making within the organization. Candidate should have an Accounting Degree with a good understanding of US based GAAP Accounting.
Responsibilities:
Netsuite Expertise: Serve as the primary point of contact for all Netsuite-related accounting matters. Leverage knowledge of Netsuite functionalities to optimize financial processes and reporting.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards. Generate custom reports within Netsuite to meet management and regulatory requirements.
Month-end Close: Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline close processes and improve efficiency.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Stay informed about updates to accounting standards and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
Audit Support: Facilitate external audits by providing accurate and timely information. Work closely with auditors to address inquiries and resolve any audit-related issues.
Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance. Collaborate with department heads to understand and explain budget variances.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the finance function. Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and experience with US based companies.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software.
