Job Description

Position: Accountant & Executive Assistant

Employment Type: Full-Time

Are you an experienced accountant with a knack for organisation and a passion for precision? We’re looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Virtual Accountant and Executive Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to work remotely from the Philippines while supporting our Australian operations.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Duties:
• Manage and maintain financial records according to Australian accounting standards.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, manage invoices, and ensure timely payments.
• Assist with and process payroll.
• Apply debtor payments.
• Assist with trust account audit preparation and ensure compliance with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading.
• Reconciliation of the trust account.

Executive Assistance:
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the executive team.
• Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments.
• Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents if required.
• Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Requirements
Education: Degree in Accounting or a relevant qualification.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role, combining accounting and executive assistance.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and privacy laws.

Skills
• Proficiency in XERO and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Availability
• Willing to work Australian hours to align with our business operations (8:30 am – 5:30pm AEDT).
• Monday to Friday (no weekends).
