We are seeking a candidate with solid accounting and finance knowledge, preferably holding a degree or certification. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for our bookkeeping and accounting clients, overseeing day-to-day transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and providing support to both the local accounting team and the senior management. The right candidate will possess hands-on experience in bookkeeping, familiarity with accounting principles and software such as QuickBooks Online, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with other team members. Additionally, proficiency in both English and Spanish is a must, along with a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to professional growth.
Job Responsibilities:
-Manage and oversee the accurate recording and classification of financial transactions for our clients daily.
-Review, analyze, and reconcile financial documents and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
-Collaborate with staff members to resolve any discrepancies or missing information in client documentation
-Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
-Conduct regular audits of client accounts to identify potential errors, discrepancies, or areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
-Coordinate with the rest of the team to develop and implement efficient processes and procedures for maintaining client records and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
-Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly Sales & Use Taxes on behalf of clients, ensuring compliance with state taxing authorities.
-Provide support and assistance to the accounting team in ad-hoc reporting, special projects, and analysis as needed.
-Problem solve with QuickBooks bookkeeping issues
-Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and advancements in accounting technology, and incorporate relevant changes into client processes and procedures.
Knowledge, Abilities & Skills required:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
-Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial roles, preferably in a client-facing capacity.
-Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, as well as Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
-Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations in the US.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.
-Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
-Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
-Detail-oriented approach with high accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
-Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
-Integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential financial information.
-Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and procedures in the accounting field.
