Accountant / Bookkeeper

We’re seeking an experienced Virtual Accountant/Bookkeeper who will be responsible for the overall management of daily accounting and bookkeeping operations as our company grows. This includes payroll, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, receipts, budgeting, general inventory management, revenue and expenditure forecasting, month and end-year processes, capital assets reconciliations, fixed asset activity, and debt activity. RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Help keep each of Solar One’s projects compliant within our guidelines and industry regulations
*Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process, and system changes
*Create, modify, and maintain tracking and analytical documents and ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
*Collaborate with external auditors and CPA firms to ensure successful audit results and compliance. Work with vendors, clients, and sales reps to create and perform purchase orders, work orders, invoices, and reimbursements
*Collaborate with HR Department for employee and independent contractor payroll and funding
*Interact at all levels with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient, and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as needed
*Track Inventory through our inventory management software. Equipment is distributed to technicians, which must be tracked and amounts maintained, returns and refunds logged
*Meet timelines and promptly respond to notifications. Work productively with minimal supervision and reach out when you need help

Requirements
Must willing to work exclusively with Solar One
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a comparable area of study
A solid understanding of inventory and accounting software. We use Zoho as our primary platform specifically, Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory
Must also be proficient in Excel (or equivalent) and accounting software
Knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Cost Accounting, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent oral and written English
Excellent interpersonal skills and analytical skills with great attention to detail
Personal drive, initiative, and resourcefulness with strong organizational skills within a highly dynamic changing environment
Quality noise-canceling USB headset and a personal computer to be used for work, with a reliable internet connection and in case of loss of power or internet, a backup plan or location that provides power and internet connection within 30 minutes of an outage

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with all aspects of account management
Familiarity with US CPA practices
3+ years of proven experience within your field of expertise
Familiarity with up-to-date remote work software (Zoho suits, desktop sharing, cloud services, etc)

Starting salary will begin at $500 USD/month for a 3-month probationary period
Salary may be increased to $750 USD/month upon completion of the probationary period
34 hrs work week, full time salary
Additional salary advancements and bonuses are available as we grow
Paid overtime that’s 1.25x your normal hourly rate
Paid bi-weekly (2nd and 17th) through International Wire Transfer or ACH Direct Deposit
All bank charges shall be covered by the company
