We are an accounting firm in the UK, seeking an experienced Accountant & Executive Assistant to manage a diverse portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, payroll, accounts preparation, VAT returns, invoicing, client communication, and email management.
*Key Responsibilities:*
– *Bookkeeping:* Maintain accurate financial records and manage all bookkeeping tasks.
– *Payroll:* Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions.
– *Accounts Preparation:* Prepare financial statements and reports for clients.
– *VAT Returns:* Handle VAT returns and ensure compliance with UK regulations.
– *Invoicing:* Manage client invoicing and accounts receivable.
– *Client Communication:* Serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
– *Email Management:* Follow up on emails and answer queries promptly.
– *Tech-Savvy:* Use various tools and software to streamline operations.
– *Calendar Management:* Manage and update the business calendar.
– *Website Updates:* Update the website using WordPress.
– *Documentation:* Maintain and organize company documents and client files.
– *Meeting Coordination:* Schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
– *Ad Hoc Enquiries:* Handle miscellaneous tasks and projects as needed.
*Requirements:*
– At least 5 years of experience in accounting.
– Excellent telephone and email communication skills.
– Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team.
– Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing tools.
– Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
– Strong organizational and time management skills.
– Attention to detail and accuracy.
– High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
– Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

*Preferred Qualifications:*
– Experience in an accounting firm or similar environment.
– A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
– Experience with cloud-based accounting solutions.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management software.
– Professional accounting or finance qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA, CFA) is highly desirable.
