Accountant for Income Statement Review

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accountant to review and verify the accuracy of an income statement that has been prepared in Google Sheets. The candidate will ensure that all financial data, transactions, and calculations are correct and in compliance with accounting standards and best practices. The income statement is a crucial financial document for our business, and we want to ensure its accuracy before using it for decision-making purposes.

**Responsibilities:**

– Thoroughly review the provided income statement in Google Sheets.
– Verify the accuracy of all numbers, formulas, and calculations on the income statement.
– Cross-check financial data with supporting documents and records to ensure consistency.
– Identify any discrepancies, errors, or omissions and provide clear explanations for each finding.
– Confirm that all relevant income and expense items are correctly categorized and recorded.
– Offer insights and suggestions for improving the accuracy and organization of the income statement.
– Communicate any potential financial risks or opportunities discovered during the review process.

**Requirements:**

– Proven work experience as an accountant or similar role.
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
– Familiarity with reviewing income statements or financial statements.
– Proficiency in using Google Sheets or similar spreadsheet software.
– Attention to detail and a strong ability to spot numerical errors.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Strong communication skills to convey findings and explanations effectively.

**Deliverables:**

– A detailed report summarizing the review findings, including any identified errors or discrepancies.
– Recommendations for adjustments or corrections to improve the accuracy of the income statement.

**Payment:**

This will be a fixed-price project. Interested accountants are requested to provide their proposed fee for the income statement review. The payment will be released upon completion and delivery of the review report.
