Accountant in Cebu

A Filipino company is looking for an accountant with some knowledge of spreadsheets.

You must have the following before we can consider your application:
• Be located in Cebu, we cannot consider you if you are not located in Cebu.
• Have five years of experience in running accounts for a Filipino company, you must be able to handle all accounting for the Filipino company including lodging the three forms with BIR every month and attending to wages and social security issues and lodging the yearly accounts.
• Must be fluent in Xero accounting software.
• Preferably have some IT experience in downloading CSV or excel spreadsheets from a portal into our software after doing the necessary financial due diligence.
• Have a motorbike or vehicle to attend SSS, Pag Ibig and PhilHealth when necessary.

We need an individual in Cebu who can take over the Philippines accounts for a small company employing seven people while helping our Australian bookkeeper with some additional tasks. You must be confident with Xero and able to immediately take control of our accounts and do anything which is required to ensure we remain tax compliant. This includes wages, SSS, Pag Ibig and PhilHealth. You must know how to lodge our documents with BIR which is done three times a month. Some of our staff have loans through these agencies also.

In addition to this, on a daily basis, you will download spreadsheets of accounts into our specialized software. You will be taught how to do this, but we need someone with previous experience in spreadsheets, excel and CSV who is a quick learner and easy to teach.

You will be working from home to start, so you must initially have a computer and adequate internet to do the work, later you will move into an office. You must be able to work alone, be a quick learner and be able to achieve results within deadlines. You will come across many problems, so you must have the determination and foresight to be able to solve them. Your honesty must be impeccable and reliability and dedication to the team unquestionable.

You will start on three months’ probation at PHP 30,000 and then after three months PHP 35,000 as a minimum salary. On top of this, we pay SSS, Pag Ibig and PhilHealth in addition to your salary, plus bonuses when targets are reached, all non-working public holidays, and other incentives.
