Job Overview:
We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our team, specializing in managing partner distributions and capital accounts for our multimember Limited Liability Company (LLC). The ideal candidate will bring expertise in utilizing both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online to ensure precise tracking of partner contributions, distributions, and overall capital account management. Looking for someone experienced in this area to help us improve our processes.
Partner Distributions and Contributions:
Oversee the accurate recording and tracking of partner distributions and contributions within QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
Ensure timely and precise processing of partner distributions in accordance with the LLC’s operating agreement.
Capital Account Management:
Maintain and update capital accounts for all partners, reflecting their respective ownership interests.
Collaborate with partners to address inquiries related to capital accounts and distributions.
Month-End and Year-End Closing for Capital Accounts:
Lead month-end and year-end closing activities specific to capital accounts, reconciling balances and ensuring accuracy.
Generate reports detailing partner capital account balances and distributions.
Financial Reporting on Partner Equity:
Generate specialized financial reports focused on partner equity, offering insights into each partner’s financial stake in the business.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements reflecting the impact of partner distributions on overall financial health.
Compliance and Tax Implications:
Communicate financial information related to partner distributions and capital accounts effectively to partners.
Foster collaborative relationships with partners, addressing inquiries and providing transparency on financial matters.
Process Optimization for Partner Transactions:
Identify opportunities for process improvements in managing partner transactions within the accounting system.
Implement best practices to streamline partner-related accounting procedures.
Additional responsibilities will include managing and reconciling several small QuickBooks accounts for small business owners.
Ideally, 10-20 hours per week, schedule flexible.
