To support our continued success and streamline our financial processes, we are seeking a dedicated Virtual Accountant who will be an integral part of our finance department.

Position: Virtual Accountant

Location: Remote

Type: Contractor

Schedule: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

Daily and Weekly Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on financial performance, including revenues, expenses, and profit margins.
Cost Analysis and Calculation: Regularly review and calculate costs associated with last-mile delivery routes, including fuel, vehicle maintenance, and employee wages.
Financial Forecasting: Analyze current financial data to project future costs and revenues. Assist in route optimization and strategic planning to enhance profitability.
Expense Management: Keep track of daily expenditures and ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded and categorized.
Payroll and Billing: Process payroll for employees and manage billing cycles for clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas requiring attention.
Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all financial operations comply with relevant laws and accounting standards.
Technology Utilization: Leverage accounting software and tools to automate and organize financial data efficiently.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or similar certification preferred.
Proven experience in accounting or finance, ideally within the logistics or transportation industry.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial forecasting and analysis.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of data and multitask effectively.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work independently.
Familiarity with the logistics and last-mile delivery business model is highly advantageous.
