Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to
join our accounting team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining
accurate financial records, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and assisting in various
accounting tasks to support the financial operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial
records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries,
and bank reconciliations.
2. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and prepare reports to provide
insights into the company’s financial performance, including variance analysis,
budget vs. actual comparisons, and financial forecasts.
3. Month-end and Year-end Close: Assist in month-end and year-end close
processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and
generating financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
4. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and accounts
receivable functions, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and
following up on outstanding receivables.
5. Expense Management: Monitor and analyze expenses, identify cost-saving
opportunities, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
6. Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax filings, including sales tax returns,
property tax filings, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
7. Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing
audit schedules, gathering supporting documentation, and addressing auditor
inquiries.
8. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting
processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen internal controls to mitigate risks.
9. Ad Hoc Projects: Support the finance team with ad hoc projects and initiatives
as needed to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
? CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
? 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property
management industry.
? Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
? Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced
environment.
? Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with financial reporting requirements.
