We have an exciting opportunity for an accountant to join our team remotely in the Philippines.

Dolman Bateman is a boutique chartered accounting firm located in Sydney, Australia, that services a range of clients in small to medium businesses across numerous industries including construction, eCommerce, hospitality, finance, manufacturing, and superannuation. We have recently had a large influx of exciting new businesses, which we will need to service.

The successful candidate will be able to develop their professional skills in accounting and business services which can become a career foundation.

Eligibility:
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Australian business accounting
• Extensive knowledge and experience in bookkeeping, accounting, BAS and IAS preparation and GST
• Qualification in Business, Commerce, and/or Accounting degree
• Strong use of Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks and Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and Word
• Strong sense of professional and personal accountability
• Display a sense of leadership and commitment to your work
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Strong written, communication, and social skills
• Good time management and organisation skills to ensure deadlines are met
• Have a strong work ethic
• Have a “Can do” attitude

Key duties:
• Preparation of financial accounts, tax returns and working papers for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and self-managed superannuation funds
• Preparation and lodgement of client’s business activity statements
• Preparation of monthly financial reporting
• Correspondence with the tax office
• Client correspondence including dealing with client queries
• Preparation and management of invoices and paperwork
• Client database maintenance
• Assisting the forensic accounting team
• Assisting the financial planning team
• Any other ad hoc activities as directed
• Customer service over the phone

Working hours: 7am to 4pm, including 1hour lunch break
