Accounting and Finance Manager

Job Overview:
To support Horizon Advisors rapid growth, we are looking for an experienced professional that will help us with the following:
-Oversee key accounting operations and be a strategic partner to the management and operational team.
-Lead our billing and financial reporting function internally
-Help with special projects

Key Responsibilities:
-Responsible for month-end close and financial reporting and financial statement analysis.
-Work with bookkeeper to ensure accurate record keeping and timely close.
-Prepare internal and external financial reporting – including commissions and variance analysis as needed – for management team reviews.
-Assist in preparing local, state, and federal government tax and business filings and compliance
-Implement and/or enhance KPIs, financial policies, internal controls, procedures, and systems
-Maintain relationships with the outsourced payroll provider.
-Draft and monitor departmental budgets.
-Contribute to department and firmwide special projects, collaborating with key personnel in various departments as appropriate.

Salary:
The hourly pay range we’re offering is between $7 to $10 depending on experience.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business with an emphasis in accounting, or a related field preferred
-Preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license 5+ years’ experience in Accounting or Finance
-Outstanding experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
-Excellent Organization skills
-Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
-Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations is preferred
-Pays strict attention to detail
-Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, changing environment where priorities can change
-Self-starter and team player that can work independently
-Work experience in a US company is a plus
