Job Description

We are an e-commerce company specializing in specialty light bulbs and electric accessories. Our accounting department is in search of an experienced accounting assistant that is able to manage an accounting department. In this position, you will manage both the AP and AR, handle communications with vendors, ensure all invoices are entered and recorded properly, manage payments and collections, and support the month end close process and audit requests.

Key Responsibilities:
o Oversee Accounts Payable, including ability to perform transactions in MS Dynamics:
? Manage the AP email inbox.
? Manage vendor exception communications and troubleshooting.
? Ensure all invoices are entered, recorded properly and timely.
? Manage vendor statements.
? Ensure the daily completion of all drop ship invoice entry and customer billing.
? Oversee the Accounts Payable clerk.
o Oversee Accounts Receivable, including ability to perform transactions in MS Dynamics:
? Manage the AR email inbox.
? Manage incoming customer payment processing.
? Ensure collections efforts are handled, efficiently and effectively.
? Ensure proper cash application for customers, marketplaces.
? Oversee the activities of the Collections Clerk.
o Support month-end close activities including:
? Various journal entries (should have a basic understanding of accounting principles (debits/credits).
? Various account reconciliations.
o Support the yearly audit:
? Documentation and evidence requests.

Requirements/Background:

• Advanced fluency/mastery of English.
• College degree – Accounting or Finance, CPA or Chartered Accountant
• Heavy experience managing or working in a accounting environment.
• Experience creating financial/accounting data reports, charts, and graphs.
• Experience working with ERP systems & Data Analytics Tools (Dynamics 365 Preferred)
• Organized & detail oriented.
• Meet deadlines daily/weekly/monthly.
• Fully committed and available to work full-time.
• Capable of learning our internal computer software.
• Willing to learn about our products.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Expert knowledge of BI programs like Microsoft PowerBI (preferred), Tableau, etc.
• Experience using Slack, Asana, Click Up or other communication/management tools.
