We are an entertainment merchandise production company looking for several accounting assistants. An Accounting Assistant will provide support to the accounting department in its daily functions. The role is focused on Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable, royalty calculation and data entry but will also be expected to assist the Accounting Manager as needed.
We are searching for individuals with accounting experience who will communicate clearly and respectfully to all team members, clients, and vendors, project a positive attitude, ask questions, and learn from mistakes. The ideal candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter, and have experience with data entry into Quickbooks Online. Knowledge and experience with general accounting principles are a must.
Although not required, knowledge of merchandise production and or ecommerce is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities to be split between 3 rolls/staffers: AP, AR and Royalties
– Responsible for creating new vendor accounts including reconciling existing vendor accounts, obtaining W9s when needed, etc
– Process vendor invoices, review for correctness.
– Contact vendors regarding any issues.
– Support weekly AP run and compile supporting documents
– Adhere to and enforce accounting rules and guidelines
– Prepare and input monthly journal entries for Shopify and/or other ecommerce sales
– Assist in monthly bank reconciliations
– Audit expense reports and AMEX statements for all backup and follow up with any discrepancies
– Create invoices and seek approval from management
– Send invoices to clients and follow up on payment and regular intervals
– Download sales reports and assist in creating royalty reports
– Collate information to create commission and royalty reports.
Requirements and Qualifications
– Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience
– AA or Bachelor’s degree in accounting
– Quickbooks Online knowledge and experience
– Experience in merch production or ecommerce is a plus.
– Excellent written and communication skills
– Excellent organization and time management
– Strong attention to detail
– Able to manage deadlines in a timely manner.
– Proficient in Excel & Google Sheets
