Position: Accounting Lead
Pay Range: $1400 – $2200/Month
Hours: Full-time
Time-zone: Significant overlap with U.S. CDT Hours
Are you an accounting and bookkeeping wizard? Are you a scrappy go-getter with startup experience? The Accounting Lead will work with the CEO to manage the books and get all entities to a ‘1-day close.’ This role requires a sharp, scrappy CPA with a strategic mindset who is also willing to dive into the details and execute the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks. As the company grows, you will transition back into a more strategic leadership role, developing and refining financial processes and strategies.
This is a full-time (40+ hours) remote opportunity to work for a U.S. business that’s experiencing rapid growth, with a future opportunity for significant upside and career growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bookkeeping & Financial Reporting:
-Manage and perform bookkeeping for the holding company and its subsidiaries.
-Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L) reports.
-Implement a ‘one-day close’ bookkeeping process for all businesses.
-Utilize QuickBooks and Google Sheets to maintain accurate financial records.
Financial Operations Strategy:
-Develop and write a comprehensive playbook for our financial operations.
-Work closely with the executive team to strategize and implement financial growth plans.
-Oversee the financial integration and reporting for new acquisitions and subsidiaries.
Client Engagement:
-Work with leadership to communicate financial insights to clients.
-Maintain high-level client interactions and provide exceptional service.
-Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to clients.
REQUIREMENTS
-Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with hands-on bookkeeping experience.
-Highly Proficient in QuickBooks and Google Sheets.
-Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop and implement financial strategies.
-‘Co-Founder-like mindset’ with a willingness to take ownership and drive results.
-Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment, with a scrappy, “figure-it-out” attitude.
-Excellent English communication skills, capable of client-level engagement.
-A solid track record of 3-10 years in accounting, finance, and auditing (ideally with U.S. client accounts)
-Bachelor Degree or higher (Latin honors and/or Academic Scholar from a reputable college preferred)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
-BONUS: You have Big 4 accounting experience.
-BONUS: You are a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
-BONUS: You are willing to travel outside the Philippines once per quarter.
