Role (Overview of the Position):

The Accounting Manager is pivotal in leading and optimizing the accounting operations within the CFO/Advisory team. This role involves strategic oversight of accounting processes, leadership of the accounting team, and direct engagement with clients, particularly for basic service levels.

The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Virtual CFO and other department leaders to ensure the delivery of high-quality accounting services.

What You’ll Do:

– Lead and mentor the accounting department, including supervisors and assistants across all pods.
– Oversee the creation and review of Financial Statements using tools like XERO or QuickBooks.
– Conduct monthly Zoom calls with basic service level clients to discuss their business finances.
– Handle client inquiries, ensuring all queries are resolved promptly.
– Spearhead client onboarding and integration into the accounting process.
– Develop, implement, and refine accounting processes, workflows, and automations.
– Foster an environment of continuous learning and development within the team.

What You Need To Get The Job Done:

– 7+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in managerial role.
– A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– Demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
– Advanced understanding of accrual-based accounting principles and in-depth experience with accounting software ( Xero and QuickBooks).
– Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in a clear manner.
– Proven track record of developing successful accounting operations.
– Experience in e-commerce accounting is highly preferred.
