Position Title: Accounting Manager

Mission: To drive financial excellence within the company by delivering accurate, timely financial information that supports business growth and success.

Summary
HiEnd Accents is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with a background in both wholesale and retail to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s accounting department and processes. Leading a team of 2 staff members, you will first master our existing accounting processes, and then guide the team in executing routine accounting responsibilities with precision. Leveraging your expertise and experience, you will help refine and enhance our current processes to ensure accurate, insightful reporting.

Key Outcomes
– Establish mastery of the SAP ERP system.
– Develop a new system for us to track payments to factory partners, with proper checks and balances to ensure accurate payments.
– Timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing for our two business entities, including preparing and/or reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations
– Make recommendations to improve our accounting department so we can operate more accurately and efficiently; work directly with management to implement these improvements and memorialize them into SOPs
– Produce useful financial reports to help the management team understand business trends and make informed business decisions.
– Coach and develop our accounting team; hire additional A-players as our team continues to grow; and discipline and fire underperforming team members if required.

Other Regular Responsibilities
– Assist existing staff of 2 in performing routine accounting work, such as AR and AP, reconciliation, internal audits, chargebacks, payroll, preparation of tax filings, tax planning and strategies, forecasting as well as ad hoc financial reporting and analyses
– Review and audit records in a systemized fashion with the goal to achieve zero errors. If errors are found review and improve the auditing process.
– Gather and organize inputs for US-based CPA firm to use in preparation for periodic IRS tax filings
– Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in day-to-day accounting tasks.
– Organized home office setup, free of noise and distractions, with a dual monitor setup strongly preferred.
– Reliable power and internet connections, with backup systems in place.
– Full-time position, 40 hrs/week minimum, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST, with a 30-minute lunch break.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills and a focus on accountability and continuous improvement.
– Proven experience in team leadership, process development, and program implementation.
– Prior experience with wholesale/B2B, retail, and eCommerce platforms like Shopify and Amazon Seller Central strongly preferred.
– A sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and promptly.
– Proficient in technology and capable of mastering various platforms such as ERP, AP/expense management systems, order management systems, and online banking.
– Familiarity with Airtable, Notion, and SAP is preferred but not required.
– Advanced Excel and data management skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
– A self-motivated problem solver capable of identifying and resolving issues independently.
