MISSION: The mission of the Accounting Manager is to ensure Client work is produced and delivered accurately, timely, and meets quality standards. To achieve this, they serve as the subject-matter expert to collaborate with clients and team members, analyze financial results, and optimize processes with a clear eye towards standardization. They must also provide high-quality, high-touch service to Clients by helping the team resolve client issues and work proactively to ensure Clients needs are fully met. Be able to communicate with clients. supervise less experienced accountants, manage overall workflow. Must have US Experience and be able to work on US hours to meet with clients occasionally and other team members. Xero accounting expertise is highly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Regular meetings with clients
* Oversee financial and accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, financing, and communicating with senior management for multiple clients
* Supervise accountants and other employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, and budgeting duties.
* Prepare financial reports: Reconcile Bank Statements; Prepare journal entries; Develop and maintain a month-end financial statement package
* Work with the partner or Executive Team to prepare and maintain budgets
DESIRABLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Sales tax reporting and compliance
* Payroll and year-end 1099 processing for clients
* US Tax experience
REQUIREMENTS
* Hands-on experience with general ledger, monthly closing procedures, monthly issuance of financial statements, and analytical reports
* Prior experience defining and refining internal procedures
* Experience producing financial statements with GAAP accounting and strong general ledger knowledge
* Solid technical knowledge related to work assignments and willingness to take ownership of all accounting functions
* Excellent organizational, problem-solving, critical/analytical thinking, and computer skills
* Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors
* Strong knowledge of Excel, Xero. BILL and other applications
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Knowledge of confidential information policies, procedures, and regulations that governs employee and employer confidentiality
* Must work independently and as a member of a team
