We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team and oversee our financial operations.
Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper will be primarily responsible for managing the financial aspects of our business, focusing on billing, payroll, and accounting. This role is critical to ensuring our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Online, and will be adept at managing cash flow, preparing reports, and ensuring timely collections and payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing and Invoicing:
Oversee the entire billing process, including generating and sending invoices to customers.
Ensure prompt collection of payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
Maintain accurate records of all billing transactions.
Payroll Management:
Prepare and process weekly payroll for all staff members.
Ensure accurate and timely payroll completion for the General Manager’s review.
Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online.
Manage cash flow and provide monthly financial health reports to the General Manager.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in all financial documents.
General Financial Oversight:
Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Work closely with the General Manager to support financial planning and decision-making.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting software.
Strong understanding of billing, payroll, and general accounting principles.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the swimming pool maintenance, repair, and remodel industry.
Familiarity with industry-specific billing and payroll processes.
Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
