I. OBJECTIVES
The ADBEMC requires an Accounting Supervisor to perform general accounting and finance duties, inventory
management, tax management, and to provide guidance to the Accounting Team, support to the General
Manager, Cooperative Members, and the Board Officers.
II. JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Supervisor supports the operations of the ADBEMC and directly reports to the General
Manager. He/She evaluates the Integrated Accounting System (IACCS) work processes, systems and procedures,
and identifies needed process improvement for efficiency of workflow and conformance to government
compliance. He/She is expected to perform general accounting and finance tasks, oversee and check daily
accounting transactions, and prepares and examines financial records to ensure accuracy and effectiveness in
internal controls. He/She liaises with External Auditors and ensures taxes and other government compliance are
reported and paid in a timely manner.
III. EXPECTED OUTCOME AND DELIVERABLES
• Monthly financial reports to be available on the 5th day of each month
• Month-End Closing of Accounting System transactions
• Year-end Closure of Accounts available for external auditing
• Financial Data on Integrated Accounting System (IACCS) updated and on track
• Daily checking and monitoring of Accounting and Finance transactions
• Inputs to budget proposal
• Updated inventory control and contract tracking system
• Management and monitoring of investments
• Monthly summary of benefit accumulation of management staff
• Documentation and up-to-date filing of accounting-related documents
IV. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant with background in finance, accounting, internal auditing, and
preferably with BIR, BOA, and CDA accreditation
• Must have working knowledge of accounting software and experience in integrated accounting system
migration and management
• Must have at least seven (7) years of relevant accounting, system management, and auditing experience
• Has experience in handling or supervising at least one (1) accounting clerk or staff
• Has background in formulating and implementation of policies, procedures, and accounting practice
• With advanced working knowledge of applications like Word/Excel/Power Point and Outlook
• Experience in working in a cooperative for at least 2 years is preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and client orientation
