Job Description

Palmer Construction, a leading roofing company based in Spokane Valley, WA, USA is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Virtual Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is a remote/virtual position that offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of our company’s billing and insurance supplementing activities.

Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Virtual Assistant, you will work closely with our Accounting Department in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting our overall financial management processes. Your responsibilities will include:
– Providing administrative support to the Accounting/Billing Department, including answering and forwarding emails, and following up on billing communication.
– Conduct daily bookkeeping tasks, including meticulous data entry, transaction recording, and upkeep of financial records.
– Reconcile bank and credit card statements meticulously within QuickBooks to ensure precision and promptly identify any discrepancies.
– Prepare, process, and monitor invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders efficiently through QuickBooks.
– Collaborate closely with the finance team to prepare various financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
– Provide valuable support during audits by preparing required documentation and responding to audit inquiries using QuickBooks data.
– Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes, streamline bookkeeping procedures, and contribute to the implementation of efficient workflows.
– Offer administrative support to the finance department as needed.
– Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
– Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting or related field with specific experience using QuickBooks.
– Proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software/tools.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
– Ability to work effectively in a remote/virtual environment.
– Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance in the US is a plus.
