Position: Accounting Virtual Assistant
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Part-time (2-3 hours per week)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Virtual Assistant to manage our financial records at Snoice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and beverage industry, with expertise in budgeting, financial projections, and inventory management. They will assist in controlling labor and costs of goods sold, providing insights to improve our menu, and reducing waste. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can support our financial planning and help optimize our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records, including transactions, ledgers, and financial statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, statements, and budgets.
• Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including handling tips.
• Handle invoicing and collections processes, focusing on cash and deposits.
• Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to the CEO.
• Upgrade and optimize accounting systems and workflows for efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions, focusing on prime costs and industry-specific KPIs.
• Assist with budgeting and projecting financials, including labor and costs of goods sold.
• Support inventory management with data analysis to project production and reduce waste.
• Develop automated custom reports within QuickBooks or Google Sheets.
• Stay updated on San Diego / California compliance laws and identify potential opportunities and savings.
• Provide insights for menu planning and cost control.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an accountant or bookkeeper in the food and beverage industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, especially related to budgeting, projections, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Google Sheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of franchising is a plus.
• Relevant certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
