Note: We may employ two people as part of this process and a immediate start is preferred, within one week of job acceptance if possible.

We’re looking for a motivated Accounts Officer or Accountant with skills in the below areas, we’re a fast-growing, secure company looking for someone to grow with our business. The right person will have job security and opportunities to scale with us in a caring, flexible (work from home) working environment.

HomeFront is a professional residential services company placing qualified and experienced Australian Service Providers into homes coast-to-coast since 2016. We are built and run by Australian Veterans and members.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

Process accounts payable and receivable invoices

Process invoices through various government portals

Problem solve invoice issues and follow-ups

Reconciling accounts

Update and maintain records and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible

Work across various data sources

Maintain a high level of invoice notes as required

Complete other administrative tasks as required

Successful Applicant Must Have:

Accurate attention to detail

Demonstrated strong work ethic

Information technology skills at a competent level with the willingness to learn new IT skills and use internal information management databases as well as Microsoft Office software

Good Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Accounting/bookkeeping experience

Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Able to work autonomously.

Ability to keep on top of multiple tasks.

Strong following-up skills.

Desirable but not essential to the role:

Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting or equivalent

Experience with Xero Accounting Software

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Finance)

Smartsheet Application Experience

Google workspace and specifically Google sheets experience
