Job Description:

We are a real estate investment company seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to play a crucial role in our finance department. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and inputting a large volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy, and efficiently managing payments. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive. We use Rent Manager and AvidXchange Software.

Responsibilities:

• Review, code, and input a high volume of invoices into the accounting system (AvidXchange).
• Verify the accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure invoices are properly approved and within company guidelines.
• Prepare and process payments through various methods, including checks and electronic transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and accurate invoice processing.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and software updates related to AvidXchange and Rent Manager.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using AvidXchange and Rent Manager software or ability to learn quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Basic Troubleshooting: A fundamental understanding of computer troubleshooting and problem- solving to address common issues that may arise during work.
• Adaptability: The willingness and ability to learn new software and tools as needed for the role, given that technology evolves over time
