Job Description

We are a rapidly growing insurance wholesale agency and seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who has a working knowledge or insurance agency experience with a passion for delivering excellent customer service and providing administrative support to our underwriters. The candidate must be available to work full-time during US EST hours.

As our Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will play a vital role in connecting with our customers (independent insurance agents). You will be responsible for creating invoices as requested by the Underwriting Department, Entering the relevant invoice data into Quickbooks Online, and monitoring the collection status of each account. Additionally, you may be tasked to handle calls to answer customer queries, process endorsements and cancelations invoices, and assist the supervising underwriter with tasks as necessary.

To ensure success with our organization, you should have a friendly and professional demeanor, very keen to details with excellent communication skills, and the ability to function independently with limited direct supervision.

Responsibilities:
• Creating invoices or billing statements for bound policies and endorsements upon request from underwriter

• Responding to underwriting and agent billing inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Monitoring customer accounts with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ensure Billing email inquiries are responded to within one business day

• Assisting Lead Accountant with additional tasks as necessary.

Requirements:
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure clear communication with clients
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently
• Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate information gathering and recording
• Available and able to work during our standard office hours from 9am-5pm EST
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Teams, Outlook, and Excel for data entry and document management
• Typing skills of at least 50 WPM to efficiently handle client requests and inquiries
• Must have at least i5-7 processor or its equivalent and noise-canceling headset to ensure high-quality call connection
• Open to serious candidates who want a full-time, long-term position with reliable internet and power connection
• Insurance agency experience a plus!
• Quickbooks Online experience required
