Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounts Receivable + Finance Specialist to bolster our financial team. This pivotal role involves managing the full cycle of accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash receipts, and revenue recognition. Additionally, the specialist will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support our company’s growth and efficiency objectives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces the challenges of managing finances in a dynamic online market, and is adept at using financial insights to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

1.) Accounts Receivable Management:

Oversee and streamline the invoicing and collections process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in billing.
Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and conduct follow-up procedures including sending reminders and communicating with clients to ensure timely collections. This will involve cold calling/cold outreach via telephone, text message, or email. You must be proficient in the English language both written and verbally.

Record and reconcile cash receipts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
Manage revenue recognition processes in compliance with accounting policies and standards.

2.) Financial Planning and Analysis:
Contribute to financial forecasting and budgeting processes, providing analytical support to guide strategic decisions.
Perform variance analysis between actual and budgeted/forecasted figures, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights into the company’s financial health.

3.) Operational Support:
Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and account queries.
Implement and maintain internal control procedures to ensure financial integrity.
Support the finance team in audit preparation and execution, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

4.) Commission tracking + payment analysis. This involves reviewing our sales teams commission trackers, comparing them against our payment processors records. Attention to detail is a very important component of this responsibility.

Qualifications:

-Proven experience in accounts receivable, finance, or a similar role within a finance department.
-Strong understanding of accounting principles, revenue recognition standards, and financial reporting.
-Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software and databases.
-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
-Effective communication skills, both written and verbal in English, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-finance personnel.
-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
