Position Summary:
Lumeco Energy is a Home Performance with Energy Star Contractor for some of the biggest utility companies in the nation, including Pepco, Baltimore Gas & Electric, Energize Delaware, and Delmarva and more. We provide energy efficient solutions for residential and commercial customers in Baltimore, Washington DC, and everywhere in between. At Lumeco, we focus on customer service, while improving the overall building performance of our customers by performing weatherization services, along with Energy Star rated equipment upgrades (i.e. HVAC, Heat Pump Water Heaters and more).
Lumeco Energy is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of our company.
Required Job Responsibilities:
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
Financial Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for Lumeco day-to-day financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and manage payments. Generate customer invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on overdue payments.
Expense Management: Monitor and categorize company expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints. Process employee expense reports and ensure adherence to company policies.
Audit Support: Support CPA with conducting internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Implement audit recommendations to enhance financial controls.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist CPA with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Financial Reporting: Assist CPA with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide financial reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators.

Data Entry: Performing data entry tasks as need by management
Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative tasks as needed by management
Required Qualifications
The following qualifications are required for this role:
Quickbooks Online – Proficient
Google Suite (i.e. Sheets, Docs, Slides) – Proficient
Minimum of 4 years of related experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
English – Proficient
