Job title: Administrative Assistant
Reporting to: Travel Manager
Remuneration: USD300-500 per month upon completion of a probation period of 3 months
Hours: General working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. Flexible working hours arrangements can be made after discussing with the immediate supervisor. Working hours should be recorded in the employee time log, signed by the supervisor, and forwarded to the accounts.

Purpose of the position
Travister is a travel agency dedicated to promoting Maldives holiday packages to the global market; our tagline is Maldives Travel Packages Specialist. Our business philosophy is to assist our customers in making their holiday experience easy and trouble-free; customer service is the core of our business.
We are looking for an Administrative Assistant with great enthusiasm for travelling and customer service. The goal is to enhance satisfaction and acquire an expanding and dedicated clientele.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Travel Consultants and assisting the customers in making their holiday memorable and generally falls under the following broader areas.
1. Provide administrative assistance to travel consultants and the media team.
2. Provide all necessary support and service to the customers making their holiday experience memorable and trouble-free.
3. Update and maintain the website and social media channels
General duties:
Administrative Support
? Assist in preparing and updating travel packages a
? Assist in preparing travel quotations and itineraries.
? Assist in drafting and designing creative and ad copies
Customer Service
? Respond to customer inquiries and recommend the best holiday packages based on customer preferences.
? Assist customers in booking hotels, airfares and domestic transportation, activities and excursions if and when required.
? Response to customer calls, emails and messages
? Reply to customer comments and feedback on social media channels.
? Liaise with property owners to ensure the best travel experiences for the customers.
? Liaise with airport representatives to ensure meet and greet and transport connections during arrival and departure times are handled smoothly.
Supplier Management
? Enter and update travel packages and room rates on the website and update rates and travel periods to ensure all packages and rates are up to date.
? Coordinate with properties and update room inventories to prevent overbookings.
? Update the website and manage room rates and package prices.
? Update room inventory in coordination with property managers/owners to ensure availability.
? Manage customer bookings, and communicate with hotels and customers when required to ensure all our customers receive excellent customer service.
Qualification and Experience
? Minimum one-year experience in a travel-related role, such as a marketing or reservation assistant
? Proficiency in the English language; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
? Sales skills and a customer-oriented approach
? Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively.
? Higher education in hospitality, travel, tourism related fields is preferred.
