Join Our Team! Full-Time administrative assistant and book keeper

Company Overview:
We are a well-established construction company based in Wollongong, NSW, with a focus on renovations, extensions, and outdoor entertainment areas. With four dedicated employees, we are expanding our team to delve into new ventures, particularly backyard studios and tiny homes.

Position Overview:

General Admin Responsibilities:

– Client relations and customer service excellence.
– Booking meetings and making travel arrangements.
– Answering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate department.
– Note-taking and assisting in system development.
– Email management (sorting, flagging, deleting, and responding).
– Chasing and replying to Google reviews.
– Handling paperwork/forms and conducting general research tasks.
– Scanning community groups.

Management Responsibilities:

– Processing subcontractor payments
– Invoicing and sending deposit requests.
– Following up on unpaid invoices.
– Scheduling and checking weather forecasts for work planning.
– Stock management.

Book keeping responsibilities;
– Accurate data entry and job costing to maintain financial records.
– Recording payments and conducting bank reconciliation.
– Generating profit and loss statements to monitor financial performance.
– Conducting daily banking activities and managing cash flow.
– Processing payments and managing bills.
– Administering payroll and superannuation contributions.
– Lodging BAS (Business Activity Statements) and ensuring compliance with tax regulations
Qualifications:

– 5+ years of experience in customer relations or a similar role.
– Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
– Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
– Familiarity with invoicing and basic accounting practices.
– Proficiency in Google Suite.

Other Requirements:

– Fluent English.
– Access to a phone and computer at all times.
– Willingness to download and learn to use apps: Google Calendar, ServiceM8, Asana, and Xero (training provided).

Pay Rate: $1000 AUD per month.
