My name is Rachel and I own a graphic design agency based in the US. I am seeking an experienced InDesign expert with at least 2 years of experience in print layouts to join my growing team. I am looking to hire a candidate willing to work 20-40 hours per week based on deadlines and workflow.
The ideal candidate should be familiar with InDesign’s following features:
– data-merge function to populate product data
– Tables and table styles
– Paragraph and character styles
– Master slides and page numbering
– Grid and point-perfect layout to guides and margins
– Packaging files and compressing/zipping for return delivery
Key Responsibilities:
– Use InDesign to create and update large files including product catalogs, flyers, posters, banners and more
– Collaborate with me to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the design process
– Communicate effectively and work independently
– time management to complete projects efficiently and precisely
– Excellent American english writing and spell checking as well as attention to detail
– Ensure RELIABLE and fast internet access to send and receive work efficiently
– Attention to detail! Using the same fonts, sizes, table widths and row heights, consistent sizing and layout alignment to margins and guides—to create clean, crisp print media
– Creativity to design modern advertisements and layouts that are attractive and communicate the message clearly
Requirements
– Eastern standard time EST daytime work hours
– Up to date Adobe creative cloud programs including InDesign, Illustrator, and photoshop
– Access to personal computer with the ability to handle large files (100+ page catalogs with 600+ high resolution files)
– fast and reliable internet speeds
– Minimum 4 hours daily availability Monday-Friday
– Strong American English reading and writing skills to spell check work
– An understanding of branding and brand identity
– Ability to design multiple print materials for one brand with clear brand identity (using the same fonts, colors and design elements for one company’s business cards, brochures, catalogs, posters and more that show consistency in design and layout)
