Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced video editor to join our team at a small content marketing agency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing, with experience in all aspects of the post-production process, from footage review to color correction to sound mixing. The candidate should be comfortable working with a range of video formats, including raw footage, animation, and motion graphics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
– Review raw footage and identify the best shots for use in a video
– Edit footage, ensuring that the final product meets the client’s needs and adheres to the agency’s brand guidelines
– Utilize a range of post-production tools, including color grading software, sound mixing tools, and editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro); also be familiar with tools like , , and CapCut
– Work closely with the agency’s creative team to develop and implement video concepts
– Develop and manage timelines for video projects, ensuring that deadlines are met and that projects are delivered on time and within budget
– Collaborate with the agency’s content writers and graphic designers to ensure that videos are on-brand and support the agency’s overall marketing goals as needed
– Work with the agency’s clients to develop video concepts and provide guidance on how to effectively use video as part of their marketing strategy as needed
– Manage and maintain the agency’s video assets, ensuring that all videos are properly stored and cataloged for future use

Qualifications:
– At least 2 years of experience in video editing, preferably within a content marketing or digital agency setting
– Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or other high-quality post-production tools and access to said post-production tools (it will not be provided to you, you need to already have the tool)
– Strong understanding of color grading and sound mixing
– Ability to work with a range of video formats, including raw footage, animation, and motion graphics
– Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines and deadlines effectively
– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other members of the agency’s creative team and with clients
– Familiarity with video SEO and best practices for video marketing preferred
– Familiarity with the Think Media approach to video editing
