AI-Augmented Web Scraping Specialist

We’re seeking a skilled Web Scraping Specialist with expertise in AI integration and API development to join our team. The ideal candidate will create robust, efficient scraping solutions that leverage cutting-edge AI models and APIs to overcome common scraping challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain advanced web scraping systems using Python and related libraries (e.g., BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium)
– Integrate AI models (like GPT-4o, Claude, etc) to enhance scraping capabilities, particularly for complex or dynamic web content
– Design and implement API-based fallback systems to ensure data acquisition when traditional scraping methods fail
– Create hybrid scraping approaches that combine traditional techniques with AI and API methods
– Optimize scraping performance and handle large-scale data collection projects
– Implement anti-detection and proxy rotation strategies to ensure long-term scraping sustainability
– Collaborate with data science and machine learning teams to improve AI-assisted scraping accuracy

Requirements:
– 3+ years of experience in web scraping and data extraction
– Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with major scraping libraries
– Experience working with AI models, particularly in NLP and text processing
– Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience in API development
– Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for scalable scraping operations
– Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern web architectures
– Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) for efficient data storage and retrieval
– Ability to bypass anti-scraping measures and handle CAPTCHAs

Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience with distributed scraping systems and job queues (e.g., Celery, RabbitMQ)
– Knowledge of docker and containerization for scraping environments
– Familiarity with legal and ethical considerations in web scraping
– Experience with scraping e-commerce platforms, particularly Amazon
– Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
