Ozark MMJ Cards is looking for our next All-Star Medical Assistant!

We are looking for a medical assistant to assist our physician with collecting HIPAA-sensitive patient information. The medical assistant of my dreams has a passion for patient care and has some experience in collecting patient medical history.

PURPOSE: To focus on submitted applications, calling to do follow-up with patients for qualifying condition information, sending reminders to complete forms, and sending invitations to schedule an appointment.

SCHEDULED HOURS: from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm on designated days

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Review applications submitted daily.
Ensure patient forms are completed accurately, primarily that a previous MMJ card has been provided and PTSD information when applicable.
Send notifications to patients who are missing information.
Document notes in patient file regarding the qualifying condition information provided.
Call patients to acquire additional qualifying condition information once an application has been submitted and an appointment has been scheduled, primarily PTSD patients.
Explain the MMJ card certification process and next steps to patients.
Guide patients through the registration process, if they are experiencing difficulty or technical impairment
Help with other patient problems as needed
Provide and verify general and technical information to inquiries over the telephone.
