Job Description

We’re hiring a part-time copywriter / content creator with excellent english writing skills and passion for content to assist us with copywriting & content generation for our business to help us serve our wonderful community.

This is a trial job to search for the right fit for ongoing work in the business.

THE TRIAL FOR THIS ONGOING POSITION PLEASE FOLLOW THE EXACT INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:

I don’t want a cover letter you must complete 1-7 otherwise I will ignore your application – by completing the steps below will show that you really want this JOB.

3. Create the following:
1. a 300 word sales email promoting Powerhouse Feng Shui (using the testimonial story)
2. a short snappy headline + summary for Video Testimonial (this is the content we’d put above the video to encourage people to watch it)
3. 5 x One-liners from this video testimonial that we could use on the sales page.
4. Take this quiz (16 personalities) / and take a screenshot of the result.
5. Tell me why you want this job
6. What is the capital of France? Answer this in your application.
7. Send your trial test to

This is an ongoing position. I want to work with you for years, not weeks.

REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience as a content writer, or other related role
Planning and creating content for our blog
Researching competitor keywords to come up with topic ideas
Adding images/infographics to articles to make them more interesting
Solid experience with editing.
Updating post titles / content to keep articles relevant
using ahrefs to monitor search positions and traffic
writing blog articles / press releases / guest posts / tutorials as needed
Familiarity with wordpress and other content management systems for websites
Familiarity with project management/task management tools like Trello, Clickup and Asana
Familiarity with content research and keyword research
Familiarity with social media.
Experience with word-processing software and spreadsheets (e.g. MS Office, Google Suite)
Knowledge of online calendars and scheduling (e.g. Google Calendar)
Excellent email and instant messaging communication skills
Attention to detail (we expect that you don’t have typos in your copy and your content is grammatically correct)
Excellent time management skills
Solid organizational skills

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Writing newsletters, sales emails, social media posts and artciles (as required)
Reviewing existing content and generating blog articles for our website.
Creating Articles for the Media based on the owners information
Research keyword rich topics to create written and video content for.
Provide owner of the business with topics and scripts to film youtube videos for, discuss on podcast or generate documentation for.
Ensure a solid process is followed to ensure maximum utilization of content.
Making suggestions to other team members e.g. social media manager for content
10-15 hours per week
