High end Amazon and kitchen knife brand seeks industrial designer to oversee product ideation, differentiation, validation, and design. Bonus if you can have experience with Amazon brands but not necessary. Opportunity to grow into product design direction as well.

Low/no working experience OK but must have a good portfolio. Decision and pay based on portfolio and work ethic.

COMPANY SUMMARY – (FOXEL and other brands)
This is an opportunity to join our rapidly growing remote team. Established in 2016, Foxel is a high end cutlery business within the e-commerce industry focusing on innovative creative, customer service, and exceptional product quality. But you won’t be limited to just knives. We have 2 other brands, will launch many new products, and acquire more brands over the coming months. Over the last year, we grew 40% and expect to grow even faster this year. This newly-created position will be an integral part of our team as we embark on the next phase of our growth.

ROLE
The ultimate goal of this position is to create cool products that stand out yet are accessible to a wide audience.

The industrial designer will be responsible for product differentiation, rough sketching, 3D modeling, validation, photorealistic renders, and sample/production process.

DAY TO DAY
Main tasks you will be responsible for…
– Evaluating product ideas for differentiation
– Sketching rough ideas for market analysis and testing
– Modeling 3D files. rendering products for photo realism, and testing
– Researching production process, market and material analysis
– Ordering samples and sending feedback to suppliers

And tasks you could grow into…
– If desired, opportunity to grow into more responsibility and oversee the entire customer touch point process like creating and refreshing amazon listings, EBC, package inserts, and package design while adhering to overall creative and brand strategy is available. This role will involve a lot of split testing different creative elements to maximize sales.

– Experience in researching design trends, production process, materials, customer avatars, and product categories
– Basic understanding of ai
– Ability to work remotely and possess his/her own laptop powerful enough to work without lag
– High speed internet connection (please provide screenshot of internet speed)
– Backup internet like a nearby coffeeshop
– At least 4GB ram
– Ability to use google services – docs, sheets, forms, etc.
– Basic experience with spreadsheets
– Ability to take video calls and send looms
– Ability to follow directions even when you might disagree

BONUS SKILLS
– Any FBA experience
– Experience with managing creative for Amazon FBA brands
– Knowledge of production capabilities, sales and supply trend
– Experience and a track record with reporting data analytics
