Job Title: Amazon Catalog Manager
Job Summary: The Catalog Manager is responsible for managing the Catalog Department and ensuring the smooth running of all catalog operations. The Catalog Manager will communicate with clients to ensure their accounts are up and running and will constantly monitor accounts to identify and resolve any issues. Additionally, the Catalog Manager will identify opportunities to improve product listings and increase sales and conversion rates.
Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee the daily operations of the Catalog Department
– Communicate with clients to ensure their accounts are running smoothly
– Monitor client accounts to identify and resolve any issues
– Collaborate with the team to resolve any technical or operational issues that arise
– Continuously evaluate product listings to identify opportunities for improvement
– Work with the Listing Optimization Department to create content to help increase sales and conversion rates
– Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Catalog Department
– Stay up-to-date with Amazon trends and changes to ensure the department remains competitive
– Provide regular reports to Senior Management on the performance of the Catalog Department and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
– 3+ years of experience in Seller Central Catalog Management
– Strong leadership and management skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
– Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms and digital marketing
– Excellent organizational and project management skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Catalog Manager plays a critical role in the success of the company and requires a highly motivated and organized individual with strong leadership and communication skills. Test Task:
To test the potential Catalog Manager’s abilities, he/she would need to create a case study. The candidate will be given a sample scenario where the company’s catalog has experienced a drop in sales and needs to be revamped. He/she would then be asked to create a plan on how to improve the catalog, including identifying any issues with current listings and recommending ways to optimize the listings for better sales and conversion rates.
In addition to the case study exercise, the candidate will also be asked to provide examples of past experiences in managing a catalog or similar projects. How he/she improved the catalog performance, including how they addressed any issues that arose and how they have worked with other teams to achieve success. The candidate could also be asked to provide examples of how they have used data and analytics to drive decisions and measure success.
