We are seeking an Amazon Product Research and Development Specialist to drive our product initiatives on the Amazon marketplace. This role is integral to our success, focusing on identifying new product opportunities, developing innovative products, and managing supplier relationships to ensure our products stand out.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Research
+ Conduct comprehensive market research to pinpoint trends, identify opportunities, and uncover gaps across multiple product categories.
+ Generate detailed reports recommending new products to launch based on market analysis above.
+ Evaluate competitor products, pricing strategies, and customer reviews to guide product development.

Product Development:
+ Collaborate with various teams to brainstorm and create new products that meet market demand and align with brand goals.
Work with design, marketing, and engineering teams to bring innovative and competitive products to market.

Quality Assurance:
+ Establish and maintain product quality standards with suppliers.
+ Perform regular quality inspections and audits to ensure products meet required specifications and customer expectations.

Cost Analysis:
+ Analyze costs to determine product profitability, considering production, shipping, and fulfillment fees specific to Amazon.

Compliance and Regulations:
+ Keep up-to-date with Amazon’s policies, regulations, and compliance standards.
+ Ensure all products meet relevant safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
– 3 years of experience as an Amazon product research and development specialist
– Proven experience in Amazon product research and development, preferably within Amazon, e-commerce and/or retail.
– Strong negotiation and communication skills.
– Familiarity with Amazon marketplace policies and procedures.
– Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.
– Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction.

+ Expert on using product research tools on Helium10 and JungleScout
+ Worked with Keepa and other Amazon analytics platforms
