Job Description:
As a Software Engineer at Band Of Hands, you will be critical in developing and maintaining our software solutions. Our company culture prioritizes open communication, collaboration, and creativity. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Object-Oriented Programming and Kotlin. The ideal candidate should also have some experience with Javascript, Angular, PHP, Laravel, Docker, and MySQL, and can follow the company’s coding standards and contribute to our internal processes. You will also be responsible for implementing fixture tests to ensure the reliability and performance of our software products.
Hours:
8 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday (Pacific Standard Time)
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using Kotlin and other relevant technologies.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver innovative features and solutions.
-Implement and maintain software testing, including fixture testing, to ensure code reliability and performance.
-Work with Docker to build and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure.
-Contribute to code reviews, provide feedback, and maintain coding standards.
-Participate in Agile development processes, following Lean Startup principles.
-Demonstrate a continuous learning mindset and stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
-Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and milestones.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. OR 4+ years of software development experience.
-Proficiency in OOP Kotlin as a primary skill.
-Some experience with Javascript, Angular, PHP, Laravel, Docker, MySQL, and Object-Oriented Programming.
-Ability to follow company Coding Standards and best practices.
-Experience with fixture testing and test-driven development.
-Proficient in Git for version control.
-Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Lean Startup principles.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
-Great attention to detail, ambition, and a continuous learning mindset.
