We are looking for a dedicated Android Developer to join our team to develop a new Android-based app. This will be a long-term position, as we will roll out updates and new features in the future and will require troubleshooting and working out bugs. Remote work for company based in New Jersey, USA.

You will be working closely together with the PM to develop an app for a Patented Product used in the lighting industry. The app acts as a remote to communicate via Bluetooth with an Arduino module, and will be used to increase brightness, change colors, import/export settings and more. This app will then be deployed for commercial use across the US and used by the most influential and important clients in the industry.

Role Overview:
– Responsible for maintaining and developing new features based on product requirements
– Contribute to bug fixing and optimization efforts
– Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the app
– Work with external data sources and APIs
– Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

Skills
– Proven software development experience with a focus on Android app development
– Strong familiarity with the Android SDK, Flutter, Bluetooth and Arduino
– Comfort with third-party libraries and APIs
– A solid grasp of the entire mobile development life cycle
– A deep understanding of Android UI/UX and Material design principles and best practices
– Degree in software development, computer science, web development, or similar
– Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
