API Developer (Laravel)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Laravel API Developer to join our dynamic and innovative development team. As a Laravel API Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust APIs to support our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of our software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

API Development:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure APIs using Laravel framework.
Collaborate with frontend and backend developers to integrate APIs into web and mobile applications.
Ensure API functionality meets business requirements and performance expectations.
Database Management:

Work with databases, such as MySQL, to manage and optimize data storage for efficient API performance.
Design and implement database schemas that align with application requirements.
Code Optimization:

Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code to enhance the performance and maintainability of the APIs.
Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Testing and Debugging:

Perform thorough testing of APIs, identify and resolve bugs or issues promptly.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure the reliability and accuracy of APIs.
Security and Compliance:

Implement security best practices to safeguard APIs against potential threats.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
Collaboration:

Work closely with frontend developers, mobile app developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure seamless integration.
Participate in project planning and provide technical expertise to support decision-making.
Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for APIs, including API specifications, usage guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Laravel Developer with a focus on API development.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
Proficient in PHP, Laravel, and related technologies.
Experience with database management systems, particularly MySQL.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) for effective collaboration.
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with third-party API integrations.
Knowledge of OAuth and other authentication protocols.
Familiarity with containerization and deployment tools (e.g., Docker).
Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
