Job Description

The Apprentice Architect will work closely with senior architects and project teams to gain hands-on experience in architectural design, drafting, and project management. The role will involve participating in various stages of the design process, from concept development to construction documentation, while providing support to the architectural team as needed.
The apprentice architect will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to various architectural projects, gaining valuable experience and skills necessary for a successful career in the field of architecture. They will work under the guidance and mentorship of experienced architects to develop their proficiency and expertise in architectural design and project management.
QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
2. Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar design and drafting tools.
3. Strong visual and spatial awareness, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
5. Basic knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
6. Demonstrated passion for architecture, design, and the built environment, with a willingness to learn and grow within the field.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to resolve design challenges.
9. Familiarity with sustainable design principles and environmental considerations in architecture is a plus.
10. A portfolio showcasing academic projects, design work, or relevant experience is highly advantageous.
11. Amenable to travelling all around the country and can drive manual transmission vehicles are also a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist in the development of architectural designs, concepts, and drawings under the guidance of senior architects.
2. Collaborate with the design team to produce detailed drawings, renderings, and 3D models using industry-standard software.
3. Contribute to the preparation of construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
4. Conduct research on materials, building techniques, and architectural trends to support the design development process.
5. Attend client meetings, site visits, and project presentations to gain a comprehensive understanding of client requirements and project objectives.
6. Provide support in the coordination of project activities, including communication with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
7. Assist in the preparation of project proposals, reports, and presentations for internal and external review.
8. Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, contributing to the integration of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems within architectural designs.
9. Learn and adhere to industry best practices, ethical standards, and sustainability principles in architectural design and construction.
10. Take part in professional development activities, workshops, and training sessions to enhance architectural skills and knowledge.
