Currently, we have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Residential Architectural Draftsperson to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Senior Building Designer to develop house and land packages for marketing purposes, research land availability and zoning regulations, and ensure compliance with building standards and regulations. Additionally, you will assist in bringing custom home concepts to life under the guidance of our senior designer.

Responsibilities:
1. Create detailed drawings, plans, and blueprints using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
3. Produce accurate and precise technical drawings for various architectural projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
4. Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements in the drafting process.
5. Incorporate feedback and revisions into drawings based on input from clients, architects, and project managers.
6. Coordinate with other members of the design and construction teams to integrate architectural plans with structural, electrical, and mechanical systems.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, CAD software advancements, and building technologies to enhance drafting techniques and efficiency.
8. Maintain organized files and documentation of all drawings and revisions for future reference.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in architecture, drafting, or a related field.
2. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Archicad or 3DModeller
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
5. Knowledge of Australian building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
7. Previous experience in architectural drafting or related field is preferred but not required.
Given that this role is home-based, a reliable internet connection is essential.
Salary is open to negotiation.
