Are you a photo retouching photoshop rockstar?

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a talented photo editor/retoucher with a real passion for enhancing portrait photographs to join our amazing team remotely from the Philippines.

You’ll be one of the lead photo editors/retouchers for our UK based ‘family and newborn photography studio’ responsible for making our clients and their family look fantastic.

You’ll be competent with the Adobe photoshop (and Adobe lightroom if you prefer to use that for some tasks).

We’re an industry leader and the quality of your work must be congruent with this. You’ll be highly organised, pay meticulous attention to detail and be able to deliver to strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Enhancing our portrait photographs to beautiful completed edited images (mostly family and new born babies). Most images will require, tidying backgrounds, balancing skin tones, removal of spots, skin blemishes, nappy marks, dry skin, smoothing skin and stray hairs. Some will require head swaps, composites, slimming people, teeth brace removal, changing background, belly button clip removal, whiten teeth and more;
2. Creating a slideshow of the images set to music with title page and example room scenes with client images on the wall. Don’t worry, we follow a simple style and we will explain in detail how we want this and supply the relevant music and images;
3. Finalise certain images ready for our customers products such as canvas, frames, albums, etc (full instructions will be given on how to do this);
4. Manage your time to ensure all deadlines are met and that the quality is nothing short of the best;

Personal Characteristics Required:
• Motivated to achieve high quality results.
• Highly organized.
• High attention to detail work consistently at a fast-accurate pace.
• At least one year’s proper work experience in this field with portfolio evidence.
• Ability to plan effectively and meet deadlines.

Your internet and computer requirements:
1. Internet connection: It is essential that you have a fast and reliable internet connection. Each upload to our editors in the Philippines will contain 30-40 images (about 175MB). Each edit sent back to the UK from the Philippines has three folders (the total size can be as much as 1GB).
2. Software: Adobe Photoshop (and Adobe lightroom if you prefer to use that for some tasks)
3. Computer: Your computer must be fast, reliable and have plenty of storage
4. Monitor/computer screen: a consistent calibrated screen/monitor.

This position is full-time (40 hours a week – across 5 days a week), normally Monday to Friday. You will have some flexibility on when you work during the day, providing our deadlines are met (we understand there is a large time difference). However, you will need to be occasionally ‘online’ between 9am-11am GMT (UK Time). Occasionally, extra hours on a day, or weekend working may be necessary to meet demand and the holiday periods.

Communication: Our communication is through WhatsApp texts, email and WeTransfer.
